the green innovation in chemical milling process

Thanks to the experience gained in forty years of activity, we propose a new procedure for the milling of metal components, mainly in aluminum: the green etCHing®, an innovative and ecological chemical milling.

Processing stages:

light is better

homogeneous removal and smoothing

Chemical milling is a process where the surface of the material is removed, by means of a chemical attack, homogeneously over the entire surface.

In addition to chemical milling, there is another type of milling – mechanical. The difference lies in the fact that mechanical milling is a type of processing in which the extrusion of the material takes place through mechanical subtraction.

substances with low environmental impact

with the total absence of toxic-harmful substances

The process consists in immersing the components to be processed in a solution that causes the progressive dissolution of the material; the characteristics of the chemical bath are such as not to corrode the material but to remove it gradually and homogeneously over the entire surface subject to the attack. If necessary milling only localized areas, it is possible to mask the areas that must not be milled with adequate products.

The green etCHing® represents an important novelty in the field of chemical milling because are used only substances with low environmental impact with the total absence of toxic-harmful substances, thus making it safe for both the environment and the operators.

- lower fuel consumption

= lower polluting emissions

We have always chosen to work with particular attention to the environment.

Obviously, attention to the environment is expressed in the continuous development for environmentally compatible manufacturing processes: green etCHing® milling, in fact, involves the use of totally acid-free products.

Lightening and thinning metals results in the production of lighter vehicles that require lower fuel consumption and lower polluting emissions: one more step towards respecting the environment.

unconventional subtractive technology

green etCHing®: the unconventional ecological and innovative subtractive technology

Instead of the erosion typical of chemical milling, we offer the innovative processing green etCHing® with which it is possible to optimally treat a variety of materials, shapes and dimensions while preserving their technical and structural characteristics, preparing the surface for any subsequent welding phases , painting and finishing.

ready for further processing!

The main advantages of green etCHing® milling:

In fact, chemical milling is one of the unconventional subtractive technologies used to lighten metals such as aluminum and steel. This process exploits the action of some chemical reagents to carry out the removal of material.

Thanks to the milling process, the worked piece is lighter, smoother and cleaner: ready for the subsequent processing phases.

The homogeneity of the structure to be machined is an important requirement to avoid surface damage caused by preferential attacks on different areas such as welds.

Conversely, to work in a targeted manner certain areas are used masks (paints or special adhesives) that protect and resist chemical agents.
